International Standards

To ensure that a best practice standard of operations is achieved by all IFs, the Code is complemented by International Standards that provide the technical and operational requirements for classification.
Three International Standards are developed:

•   Athlete Evaluation, detailing the procedures for the assessment of athletes and the allocation of sport class and sport class status;
•   Protests and Appeals, detailing the procedures for the management of classification related protests and appeals common to all sports;
•   Classifier Training and Certification; detailing the provisions for classifier training, certification and maintenance of certification.

Adherence to the International Standards is mandatory for compliance with the Code.
